Services & Areas of Practice

Initial Consultation

Collecting art should be personally rewarding but also be done with an objective in mind. Scarlett works with new clients to determine how she can bring the most value and engagement to the collection, and where to begin. There is no formula for being a collector, but Scarlett's goal is to bring her expertise, contacts, diligence — and enthusiasm — to every client’s experience.

Collection Management

Demystifying the purchase of an artwork is just the beginning. Photographs and documentation, tracking software and other organizational tools, storage, insurance and valuations for insurance are all aspects of maintaining a growing collection that Wieliczki Arts can assist with or manage for you. It requires finesse, strategic structuring, and in many ways, empathy. At the end of the day, art and its worth are profoundly personal. That is why we advise, negotiate and mediate where needed.

Extensive due diligence brings confidence to any acquisition, and Wieliczki Arts consults with curators, specialists, other collectors and advisors in Scarlett’s network, along with art databases, catalogs and reference books to ensure the most comprehensive understanding of any work, artist or collection.

Scarlett is intimately familiar with the fierce frontier of art auctions, and can register clients, secure tickets, verify the condition of prospective purchases, confer with specialists and bid on behalf of clients.

Acquisition & Sales

Wieliczki Arts assists clients in completing the purchase or sale of individual works or entire collections, with a special focus on the primary market and less on secondary (resale) markets. This includes checking the condition of a piece, price and discount negotiations, shipping arrangements and final installation. Scarlett works with galleries, private collections, artists’ studios, auction houses and private dealers.

Tours & Access

In Scarlett, clients will find an enthusiastic and experienced gallery, museum and art fair guide. Also, she frequently provides access to artists’ studios and private collections. In every case, it is an enjoyable, accessible learning experience.

I’ve worked with Scarlett on several occasions, each time enthusiastically jumping into complex problems that require diligence, detailed attention, independence, and creative thinking.
